Shenstone Club in Halesowen is putting on a Tommy Mundon Remembered Evening in honour of the comedy legend who was born in the town. The event, which is raising funds for the Mary Stevens Hospice, will start at the Kent Road venue from 7.30pm on Thursday.

Mr Mundon died at the hospice in 2014 following a battle with Parkinson's disease.

A biography written by his long-time friend, Angela Daniels, was also launched last year to celebrate his life, in association with the Black Country Society and Morgan Solicitors.

Christine Skett, from the Shenstone Club, said: "We are having a Tommy Mundon Remembered Evening with entertainment provided by a number of local artists.

"Author Angela Daniels will be there to sign copies of her book."

Tickets cost £5. Call 0121 4225157.
