Murray took to the stage twice in one day at Stafford's Gatehouse Theatre over the weekend, performing a matinee show to a packed audience ahead of his evening performance.

As has been the case throughout his tour, called 'Let's Go Backwards Together', The Pub Landlord used a selfie stick to catch the smiles of his crowd, before sharing the picture on Twitter.

A caption attached to the image taken during his matinee performance read: "Too much fun for an afternoon."

The 48-year-old's latest show addresses political issues such as the EU Referendum, the NHS, conflict in the Middle East and more.

It will return to the region in May 2017, with a show at Birmingham's Repertory Theatre. He started his career as a comic when he began studying at Oxford University. He met Stewart Lee and Richard Herring working on a sketch show and never looked back.
