Pop Will Eat Itself's former lead singer Clint Mansell tweeted a touching tribute to "true gent" Leonard Cohen.

Merely weeks after speaking with clarity about his readiness to die, Leonard Cohen, the tragic loss of the singer was announced on Facebook.

Tributes poured in for the singer, poet and author who leaves behind a great legacy, including the picture above tweeted by Clint Mansell.

He captioned it with: "Had the pleasure of working with him soem years ago. A true gent. Sleep well, and thank you.
