The Exorcist - Birmingham Repertory Theatre

Experience the classic horror film on stage as William Peter Blatty's novel and William Friendkin's film The Exorcist is adapted for stage.

The gory, blasphemous horror will appear at Birmingham's Repertory Theatre this Halloween season, complete with gratuitous gore.

Paranormal Evening - Dudley Zoological Garden

Join the people at Dudley Zoological Gardens for a paranormal evening at Dudley Castle.

Events on the night will include a historical and ghostly tour from the castle historian, taking part in vigils led by JP Paranormal, using paranormal equipment, divination, white noise experiments and lone vigils only for the brave.

Chaos at Crocular Castle and Dino Quest - West Midlands Safari Park, Worcester

Staff at a safari park are getting ready to host an annual spooky spectacular event and this year there are two new attractions to experience.

The annual, month-long festival at West Midland Safari Park started on October 1 and includes a new adventure named Dino Quest.

Explorers will have to make their way around Land of the Living Dinosaurs, searching for the missing dinosaur. They must find it before the Mad Scientist, who is also on the hunt to capture the dinosaur. The only help the explorers will receive is clues from the characters they meet on their way and they will only have torchlight to guide them.

Also new for 2016 is Chaos at Crocular Castle, a puppet show where families can meet an array of memorable creepy critters and help to save the princess.

Halloween Spooktacular - Cadbury World, Bourneville

Witchy Woo Woo, Wolfy The Wolfman and Franky Frankenstein

From October 22 to October 30 visitors can enjoy The Spook Factor where Franky Frankenstein, The Vamp and Witchy Woo Woo battle it out to impress judges Larry Walsh and Simon Howl and win a 'mystery prize'.

Children are also invited to dress up to and hopefully win the competition.

Vampires are set to descend on Wolverhampton

Vampires are set to arrive in Wolverhampton as brand new production Vampires Rock with bite is to take to the stage.

The production marks the return of Steve Steinman, as Baron Von Rockula, after 12 years. The performance has sold more than a million tickets over the years and the show itself has been performed more than 3,000 times.

The Mockingbird Theatre and Kitchen is putting on a Halloween spectacular of classic horror films this weekend in time for Halloween.

Ghostbusters will be shown on Friday October 28, Scream, the Rocky Horror Show and Shaun of the Dead on Saturday October 29 and Interview with a Vampire, Poltergeist and the Exorcist on Sunday October 30.

A spooky walk is set for fans of the gaming craze Pokemon Go.

Following on from a successful walk in July, organisers are joining up with the people from Birmingham Zombie Walk to invite players to join them on a Halloween-themed walk for ghost-type Pokemon.

The walk will be raising money for Birmingham Children Hospital.

The annual fright night at Blists Hill is introducing characters from the 1984 Ghostbusters feature film. THis year on October 29 from 6pm as the lights goes down the Victorian streets turn in an eerie place.

You are encouraged to dress up in your scariest costume and watch out for the Marshmallow Man, as the massive 31ft high inflatable paranormal monster will be looming over the darkened streets.

MOBO award-winning hip hop artist, writer, poet and educator Akala is set to host the long-awaited Hip Hop Halloween event at Newhampton Arts Centre.

The performer is renowned for his work in fusing rap, rock, electro-punk sounds with lyrical storytelling, and in May performed in Wolverhampton explaining the link between rap and Shakespeare.
