The streets of Wolverhampton came alive in all the colours of the rainbow as this year's Wolves Pride event took to the streets.

There was an array of special performances from Britain's Got Talent star Vicki Vivacious, Queenie, Amy LaQueefa, Alex Vann, Pam Catz and Divine Miss M.

The event recently hit the headlines after it was revealed to be at risk of not taking place this year due to lack of funding.

Consequently, Adam Dewitt-Bukater set up a GoFundMe appeal to raise money for the event, and the appeal received an anonymous £5,000 donation and £1,000 from the then Mayor's Councillor Ian Brookfield's charity fund.

The appeal also saw a £500 gift from Unison and a business donation of £250 bring the fund for the event over its critical level.

The University of Wolverhampton also announced it was a major sponsor of the event.
