Dudley Little Theatre's forthcoming production of Black Coffee, featuring the famous Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot, will be taking place nightly at Netherton Arts Centre from September 21 to 24.

Audiences will need to be prepared to get their thinking caps on as the murder mystery play takes some unexpected turns throughout the evening. Rebecca Clee, chairwoman of the group who also stars in the play, said: "This was the only Agatha Christie written as a play so in that respect it is quite unique.

"Because it is little known it will make interesting watching, so people will be left guessing right up until the end on whose done it - which is a good thing.

"For anyone who is thinking they might find it interesting, I would say come and along and get drawn in." Black Coffee tells the tale of a guest at a country house who is believed to be the thief of a secret formula belonging to the house's owner.

A ploy to return the formula anonymously goes wrong, resulting in a murder.
