The Mount Pleasant pub in Ounsdale Road, Wombourne has had its toilets updated, kitchen remodelled and the whole venue has been redecorated.

The work, which cost £163,000, also saw new signage installed and the beer garden given a makeover.

New publican Nicola Williams said: "I've worked in pubs in the past and always wanted to run my own.

"Now my family has grown up I feel it's the right time to turn my dream into reality. I'm nervous but very excited about my new challenge and determined to give it my best shot.

Staffordshire MP Gavin Williamson said the refurbishment and nine new new jobs was 'great news' for the area.
