Stourport Riverside has become the place to be for any fans of country and western music, after the festival was first held back in 2007.

Over the years the free event has grown and now attracts huge crowds every year to its variety of musical acts, stalls and activities including an exciting fast draw shoot-out.

Organiser of the event, leisure development officer at Wyre Forest District Council Amy Smith, said: "Although the poor weather forecast on Saturday probably put some people off, we still had more than 800 people, and then on Sunday around 2,000."

She added: "People come from all over the country to the festival.

"I think one of the biggest draws is that we have the biggest line-dancing floor, being outside, and this is always extremely popular."
