Bollywood star Rahat Fateh Ali Khan excited for Midlands gig
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be playing Coventry's Ricoh Arena on August 12.
He will perform four hours of his greatest Qawwali hits.
Rahat said: "I'm really excited to have been given the opportunity to perform in front of my fans in the Midlands.
"People can expect a real showcase performance from me. For the first time ever, I'll be performing in a new show format which no fans will have seen before.
"I'll be breaking my performance into three different parts - the first of which will be a range of iconic Bollywood anthems over the last 30 years, which will then lead onto the second section of 45 minutes of devotional love songs in an unplugged format followed by a host of Qawwali songs to close the show."
He has recently celebrated success as his theme-tune Jag Ghoomeya from the Bollywood movie, Sulta,n reached number one in the charts.
