Bears, pigs and clowns at Birmingham Botanical Gardens

If you go down to the Gardens this summer, you're sure of a big surprise...

This summer, Birmingham Botanical Gardens is inviting the public to a whole host of summer activities, including the annual Teddy Bears' Picnic, a trip to the circus, and a visit from Peppa Pig.

On August 17, join Peppa Pig and her little brother George for fun and photos as the two cheeky little piggies invite you to join them at intervals throughout the day. There will also be storytelling, pond dipping, arts, crafts and welly walks.

Then on August 24 the annual Teddy Bears' Picnic returns with a nautical twist. Little ones and their furry friends are invited for a pirate-themed picnic party, complete with a treasure hunt, raffle, teddy bear hospital and the popular fancy dress parade.

You can complete your summer of fun at the Gardens with a trip to the circus, presented by the National Festival Circus on the weekend of August 30 and 31.

Enjoy an interactive experience under the circus' brand new Big Top with a stellar cast of international acts, including jugglers, clowns, balancing acts and mystifying magicians.
