Dozens of vintage vehicles rolled into the castle courtyard in the heart of the zoo grounds for the West Midlands Classic Car Club show, which was held on Sunday.

The owners were on hand to talk to visitors about their motoring pride and joys. The cars dated from as far back as the1920s to the 1980s.

Among the owners was John O'Callaghan, of Stourbridge, who brought along his blue 1978 Triumph Stag, and Damon Sykes, of Oldbury, with his beautiful 1932 MG J2. Martyn and Anna Harbourne, of Bewdley, also joined in the fun with their series 1 fixed head E Type Jaguar. Show organiser Maurice Cole, of Dudley, brought along five of his cars including a Daimler Dart from 1961.

Mr Cole said the show was a great success, adding: "It was a fantastic day. We had 80-odd cars altogether and we were busy with visitors all day. It was our 28th year of holding the show at the zoo and as always everyone enjoyed themselves."
