The Way Youth Zone in Wolverhampton's staff win top award

Published

Volunteers at The Way Youth Zone have collectively won a prestigious award in recognition of all their hard work.

The 126 volunteers that work at the venue, which opened in January, bagged the Wolverhampton City Council Volunteer Award at a ceremony at The Grand Theatre on June 28.

The Way, based on Worcester Street, is a purpose-built facility for the city's young people aged 8 – 19 and those with disabilities. It offers a multitude of activities for young people to partake in, such as sport, fitness, dance, arts, music, media, enterprise and wellbeing and self-improvement.

Volunteers Sarah Cornaby, Aaron Westhead and Adam Boswell collected awards on behalf of the team.
