Wolves Fest was held on Saturday night at Wolverhampton Rugby Union Club and featured 21 acts.

Among those who performed was Megan Reece, a mother-of-four from Wolverhampton who shot to prominence on the hit BBC show The Voice.

She was joined by Kidderminster rockers Sons of Beaches, Wolverhampton's The Rhythm Dogs and singer-songwriter PTR Williams from Halesowen, to name just three.

The event was being held to celebrate the 21st birthday of Birmingham and influential Black Country music magazine 'Ryan's Gig Guide'.

Soul'd Out, a soul band which features anything from nine to 12 musicians at any one time, closed out the show. They said: "It was an absolute pleasure to close Wolves Fest 2016. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

"Thank you to everyone who came and partied, all the bands and musicians, Cannock Sound Hire, bar staff but special thanks particularly to Shaun Ryan and Nick J Townsend for organising and promoting this wonderful event!"

Nick Townsend, the lead singer and guitarist from Kidderminster metal band Weak13, organised the music for the event. Mr Townsend has previously starred in popular TV shows including Shameless on Channel 4 and Doctors on BBC One.

He said after Wolves Fest 2016: "Wolves Fest 2016 was a great festival for Wolverhampton. It was a pleasure to organise the music."

Peter Williams from PTR Williams added that he had a 'fab time' at the event.

Danni G, the singer songwriter from Stourbridge, also performed at Wolves Fest.

She said: "Feeling the love and living through the good vibes at Wolves Fest. Thank you to everyone who made it."

The event lasted from 4pm until midnight.
