The 'Make it or Bake it' fair saw dozens of local traders set up stalls in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton.

Stalls at the event sold homemade food, arts and crafts and bespoke gifts. There was also entertainment and a range of exotic and delicious street food.

Make It or Bake It began in 2014 and there have been five events since then, attracting thousands of visitors.

The market events are a partnership between local organisers, City of Wolverhampton Council and LSD Promotions.

Michael Morgan, manager of LSD, who help organise and the run the event, said: "It was an extremely good event. It gets bigger and better every year. Local people love it, traders love it and the visitors love it. It's a proper family event with something for everyone and the weather was great, which made all the difference.

"Even the shop owners in Tettenhall play their part as they stay open for the duration of the event.

"We have been doing the events since 2014 and this year we had around 40 stalls but we could have easily had 80 there – that's how popular it is for traders. We have around two a year but there is appetite for even more."

Visitors took to social media to share their positive views of the event. Claire Wasserman, an artist in paints and textiles based in Wolverhampton, said: "At Tettenhall Make or Bake sale. Art and food. Great combo."

Some of those who sold their products at the fair also shared their views. Company Cherryblue, who design and make hand-crafted bags and luggage said: "Thank you to all those who came to Tettenhall Make It or Bake It, it really was a lovely day and a fab event."

The event has been so successful that it even won a top award in January this year.

The fair was crowned Best Small Community Market at the Great British Market Awards.
