The four-day event at the Hogshead will give opportunities for the public to meet the brewers and try up to 25 different cask ales.

Rachel Morteton, aged 28, team leader at the pub said: "It's going to be a huge event – it's something that doesn't happen very often in Wolverhampton.

"We're known for our ales anyway, as we always serve four local ales, so we're expecting a lot of interest."

Tomorrow night the chairman of Campaign for Real Ale will be attending.

Camra offers lifetime discount to members in a bid to promote real ale, real cider and the traditional British pub.

The Hogshead, which holds 100 people, will also host a disco on Saturday evening and live music on Sunday.
