Walsall teenager enters Britain's Next Top Model

Alex Kelly, known as Lexi, is one of 15 contestants on the latest series of the reality TV show.

The show, which is to begin airing on Thursday, follows 15 would-be models as they take on weekly challenges in the hope of winning a modelling contract.

Lexi applied for the show after wanting to be a model since she was a little girl. She said she got her passion from constantly posing.

In her profile on BNTM's website, Lexi describes herself as a five-foot-nine-inch event hostess. She says she loves her job because she likes meeting people.

She also revealed that she's a dress size eight, her favourite feature is her eyes and her least favourite is her height.

She lists her favourite models as Cindy Crawford, Yasmin Le bon, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Tyra Banks and Elle Macpherson, and her favourite designers as Fendi, Michael Kors and Chanel.

Expendables star Liam Hemsworth is Lexi's celebrity crush.

In her audition video which was posted onto YouTube, she said: "I want to be Britain's Next Top Model because I think it's such an amazing opportunity. This industry is so hard and to have the help and support of an amazing panel and crazy photographers it's just an amazing opportunity that I couldn't pass up when I heard it was coming back.

"I'm so excited, I've wanted this since I was a little girl and I've watched the show since I was a little girl. I'm super-duper excited." The show, which has previously been called Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model, is back for its tenth series but on a new channel and with new judges.

Previously on Sky Living, BNTM will now air on Thursday's on digital channel Lifetime.

Previous judges such as Dannii Minogue, the sister of Kylie, and model Paula Hamilton are not returning for the new series.

Abbey Clancy, who has competed in the show and also won BBC hit show Strictly Come Dancing will lead the panel, alongside the model and former boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston, Paul Sculfor. The pair are joined by fashion guru Hilary Alexander and sharp-tongued photographer Nicky Johnston.
