Based on his book Robert Plant: A Life, Paul will be shining some light on the Led Zepellin frontman's life outside of music and focusing on his career after Zeppelin disbanded in 1980.

Former Kerrang and The Independent newspaper music journalist Paul's biographical tome gives a full account of Plant's early life struggles as an 18-year-old labourer laying roads in West Bromwich in 1968.

Within 18 months though he was fronting one of the biggest bands in the world vying for top billing with the likes of Rolling Stones in the UK and across the Atlantic.

One of Robert's most recent ventures was taking a cameo part in the comedy film Doreen: The Movie. In it he visited the Black Country heroine as the boss of Plant Hire: Your Driveway to Heaven – offering to Tarmac her drive.

Paul's talk will be borrowing heavily from his unauthorised biography which also features extensive interviews with Plant and his associates.

It also deals with difficult periods in Plant's life.

Paul Ree's free talk about the life and times of Robert Plant will be at Wolverhampton Art Gallery on January 15.
