An Evening with Ricky Hatton was due to take place at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Monday, but the event has now been moved to the smaller Wulfrun Hall, it has been revealed.

A spokesperson for the Civic Hall could not confirm whether the move was due to poor ticket sales for the evening or not.

The show was due to be the last held at the Civic Hall before it and the Wulfrun close for a £10 million overhaul in the new year.

Events will continue to be held at The Slade Rooms while the Civic halls are closed.

On the night the welterweight, who retired from the sport in 2012, will share stories from his career with fans.

The event will feature his career highs and lows as the former World Champion discusses his fights with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

He retired having lost only three fights from his 48 bouts.

Tickets start from £13.75, while VIP tickets are also available, including a meet and greet, priced at £82.50.
