Peter Pan star John Altman to visit Wolverhampton dementia cafe

Panto star John Altman is set to attend a dementia cafe in Wolverhampton.

The former Eastenders star is taking time out from rehearsals to support Alzheimer's Society by attending the dementia café at Wolverhampton Art Gallery on December 17.

He said: "My father developed dementia towards the end of his life so I know the impact it has on families. I am looking forward to visiting the dementia café in Wolverhampton where I will hear people's stories and about their experiences of living with dementia."

John is playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the Grand Theatre from December 12 to January 24.

The dementia café is one of six in the city run by Alzheimer's Society and takes place on the third Thursday of the month from 10.30am to 12.30pm. To find out more call 0121 5213020 and ask for Carol Bowsher.
