Moscow State Circus coming to Birmingham

The Moscow State Circus will be bringing a spectacular show to Star City in Birmingham. The family-friendly extravaganza will run from Monday next week until January 8, 2012.
The show, entitled Babushkin Sekret, is based on the legend of The Twelve Chairs.
The organisation, which is based on 200 years of tradition, has had to adapt its routine since the decline of animals in circuses.
Now the emphasis is on displays of human skill, acrobatics and endurance.
The cast features some of Russia’s finest circus performers, including Yana Alievia on a revolving chandelier.
There will also be a three-man, two-woman ensemble doing back-flips and creating spectacular pyramids 30 feet in the air on the high wire.
