Disney On Ice show at Birmingham NIA

Family fun will be on offer at the NIA in Birmingham this week as some top skaters slide in for Disney On Ice.
Favourite Disney characters will take to the ice for a glittering family production at the NIA.
Fans can watch a production called Worlds of Fantasy, a magical adventure featuring favourite Disney stories, beloved characters and dazzling skating skills.
Stars will take to the ice from Wednesday to November 6, 2011, at Birmingham’s NIA.
A spokesman for the NIA said: “Produced by Feld Entertainment, Worlds of Fantasy provides non-stop family fun and brings audiences their best loved moments from Toy Story, Disney/Pixar Cars, The Little Mermaid and the mystical world of the Disney Fairies.
“In this spectacular show, fans can see Disney/Pixar Cars race across the ice with special effects and high speed stunts from Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew.
“They can dive into the enchanting undersea kingdom of The Little Mermaid and then discover the magic of the Disney Fairies with Pixie Hollow and Tinkerbell.
“It’s also playtime at The NIA, Birmingham as Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and The Toy Story gang escape from Sunnyside Daycare and race for home in their most daring adventure ever.
“From wheels to waves, playtime to pixie dust, Disney moments come to life at Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy.”
Fans who arrive an hour early can enjoy an enchanting display of Disney Princess gowns and mementos in the Disney Princess Pre-Show.

Meanwhile, Cirque Eloize will bring their brand new creation, iD, to Birmingham’s Hippodrome from Wednesday to November 5.

Thanks to the artistic imagination and determination of its creators, this contemporary circus company has acquired an international reputation for its highly original works.” The production has won rave reviews from critics around the world.
Cirque Eloize have been at the heart of the renewal of circus arts since 1993 and create shows that are full of poetry.
