Amon Amarth to invade Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall
Friday 28th October 2011, 11:20AM BST.
Swedish metal warriors Amon Amarth are bringing their brand of Viking-inspired death metal to Wolverhampton.
Amon Amarth and guests Grand Magus will bring the Sutur Rising UK tour to Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall on Friday, March 16, 2012.
Tickets, priced £16.50, are available from Midland Box Office on 0870 320 7000 or at www.wolvescivic.co.uk
Formed as Scum in 1988, the Stockholm-based band changed their name to Amon Amarth in 1992, a translation of Mount Doom from The Lord Of The Rings.
They have released eight albums, including this year’s Satur Rising.
And there’s one fact that many fans may not be aware of, says Wulfrun Hall spokesman Jonn Penney.
“Amon Amarth are big Wolves fans!” he reveals.
