Some of the biggest names in fashion will hit the catwalk for a three-day extravaganza of fashion, beauty and shopping in Birmingham this weekend.

Style Birmingham LIVE opens today and runs until Sunday as a showcase for the city’s biggest designers and retailers.

The show is being led by one of Europe’s top catwalk production companies, with a stunning new line-up of models cast from international model agencies including Storm, Premier and Models One.

Style Birmingham spokeswoman Kim Stephens said: “September is the most fabulous month in the fashion calendar as the beautiful new trends for Autumn/Winter hit stores. Style Birmingham Live will be celebrating their arrival with an explosion of fashion, glamour, beauty, shopping and fun across the city’s best stores.

“Birmingham is packed with stylish department stores, cutting edge high street fashion and independent boutiques and Style Birmingham Live gives people a chance to make the most of their new collections.

“It’s the perfect stylish and fun day out to share with friends and family.”

Among the local stars of the show are internationally renowned and Birmingham born fashion designer, Osman Yousefzada.

Osman said: “As a huge fan of my home city I’m really pleased and proud to have been asked to design the limited edition bag for Style Birmingham LIVE, which helps to put Birmingham on the fashion and shopping map.”

Style Birmingham will feature plenty of discounts and give aways in city stores, as well as a series of events.

The stylist George Lamb will host a catwalk show at Birmingham Town Hall featuring all of the latest AW11 collections available in Birmingham city centre, modelled by the latest international faces.

The show times are 12noon and 2pm today and Sunday and 10am, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm tomorrow.

Gold VIP ticket holders will also be treated to a ‘meet & greet’ and photograph with George Lamb following the show.

The Bullring will host an industry first catwalk show taking fashion to the next level. The 30 minute show will combine pioneering technology and fashion live on stage. Britain’s next top model 2010 winner Tiffany Pisani will appear as she’s never been seen before. Show times are 10.30am, 1pm, 3pm and 5.30pm today; 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm tomorrow and 11.30am, 1pm and 3pm on Sunday.

The Mailbox will also host Style Renaissance, a glam-packed celebration of all-new fashion, jewellery, accessories, beauty and more. Expect fashion shows, previews and sneak peeks, models walking the mall, beauty demonstrations and makeovers, amazing special offers and lots of fun events inside The Mailbox’s stores.
