Connie Talbot sings to 600 million

Singing sensation Connie Talbot’s talents will be broadcast to her largest audience yet next week, as 600 million people tune in to watch her welcome in the Chinese New Year.

The Streetly 10-year-old, who wowed the nation on Britain’s Got Talent, has just returned from a five-day trip to China, where she recorded songs for a TV extravaganza to welcome in the Year of the Rabbit.

The Blackwood Primary pupil recorded Somwhere Over the Rainbow and joined other stars to sing When you Believe in front of an audience at the £1 billion plus Beijing TV centre.

The show will be broadcast on Chinese state television on February 4.
