More acts announced for Latitude Festival
Monday 24th May 2010, 12:01PM BST.
Crystal Castles, Paul Heaton, Joshua Radin and The Antlers have all been announced as the latest additions to the lineup at this year’s Latitude Festival.
The festival – now in its fifth year – is set in the countryside of Henham Park Estate on Suffolk’s Sunrise Coast and incorporates the very best of everything from music and theatre right through to fashion and cabaret for a memorable weekend of adventure, inspiration and education.
The newly announced acts join an already strong lineup consisting of Florence & The Machine, Belle and Sebastian, Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Laura Marling, The Maccabees and Mumford & Sons.
Emo Philips, Ardal O’Hanlon, Rich Hall and award-winning Tommy Tiernan will also be amongst comedians attending the festival which spans four music arenas and thirteen arts areas.
Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Latitude’s organisers, Festival Republic said, “Five glorious years on and Latitude Festival continues to be everything I wanted it to be. The breadth and calibre of programming across the arts and music consistently astounds me and I am delighted that Latitude has earned its place as a festival of choice for many. With an incredible wealth of talent joining us at Henham Park year on year, Latitude holds its unique position in the festival season”.
In previous years Snow Patrol, Pet Shop Boys, and Franz Ferdinand have all headlined the festival.
Latitude Festival runs from 15th July to 18th July. Tickets are now sold out. More information can be obtained from http://www.latitudefestival.co.uk
