The Graduate to Great drive has seven ex-students explaining why they chose the university and how it helped with successful careers.

Films were made with all seven saying how it helped shape their futures. These include Milissa Chesters, human resources director at Fruit of The Loom Europe; Julian Ryall, Tokyo correspondent of the Daily Telegraph and Lauren Smith, former captain of GB synchronised swimming team and Commonwealth bronze medallist.

Jane Nelson, pro-vice chancellor for student recruitment, said the campaign aimed to raise the aspirations of young people within the local area.

She added: "Each one of the seven graduates in our campaign come from a range of backgrounds and have chosen hugely contrasting career paths.
