Tuesday 31st January 2012, 10:22AM GMT.
Staff at the Shipley Campus of Walford and North Shropshire College, near Bridgnorth, are preparing for an important open day on Saturday, February 11. 2012. The Campus, which shares its site with Gardenlands, is due to launch a new full-time course in Animal Care from September 2012.
One of the star attractions on February 11 will be a clutch of new-born lambs from Shipley’s sister campus at Walford. Visitors will also be able to attend an exciting demonstration of exotic animals and reptiles by Simon Airey.
Andrew Tyley, College Principal and Chief Executive, is keen to welcome visitors and prospective students to the open day.
He said: “There should be plenty of animals on display as we are hoping to give prospective students a proper feel of what the new course will be like. We will have staff on hand to explain course content, entry requirements and interview applicants. Simon Airey is a fantastic entertainer and we are so pleased to welcome him back to Shipley.”
The Shipley open event runs from 10am until 2pm. There is no need to book in advance and entry/parking is completely free.
