Majority at Staffordshire University to pay less than £8k

Eighty per cent of Staffordshire University students will pay less than £8,000 a year for their courses under its new variable fees system that starts next year.
Many will also benefit from a range of fee waivers, bursaries and National Scholarships.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Gunn said they had undertaken considerable work on pricing and had consulted widely.
“It is also worth stressing that under the new fees arrangements, there is nothing to pay up front and students are not expected to begin to pay back the loan until they’re earning more than £21,000 a year.”
Over three years the amount charged will range between £22,470 and £25,470.
