Help 'lovable lummox' Rolo sniff out his forever family after violence left him disabled

An animal rescue centre is seeking a 'forever' home for a dog left badly disabled by violence.

Rolo, a 16-month-old Labrador cross, suffered horrific attacks as a young puppy which left him permanently blind and with mild brain damage.

But despite this staff at Dudley-based Raven's Rescue UK have found him to be playful and comfortable around children and other pets.

Kerry Copson, Rolo's foster mum, said: "Rolo does not require any extra care, he is a generally lazy dog who likes to sleep in the sunshine. He would benefit from the company of another dog to be his guide, but would equally cope well with a patient owner who can direct him with positive voice instructions.

"He is fully vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped, flead and wormed. It is possible that Rolo gets overlooked because of his disability, but I cannot fault him at all.

"Rolo just requires a routine so he knows what he is expected to do. He is a lovable lummox who loves life. He's an easy dog to live with as he's a couch potato".

Anyone interested in rehoming Rolo should visit www.ravensrescueuk.weebly.com or contact Ravens Rescue UK on 07922 204531.
