We're super excited about our March issue which features an exclusive interview with X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, star of The Bodyguard The Musical.

The singer chats to us about stepping into Whitney Houston's iconic shoes and replacing home-grown talent Beverley Knight in the lead role.

She might be friends with superstar Beyonce but Alexandra reckons she's just a down-to-earth girl with a dream. Read about her close relationship with her mum and her adorable dogs, who will be accompanying her when the tour comes to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from April 21 to May 2.

Plus, this month we're also excited about our wonderful wedding fair which is a must date for all brides-to-be.

The show will take place on Sunday March 22 at the elegant Mount Hotel in Mount Road, Tettenhall, and admission is free. With up to 40 exhibitors, covering all aspects of planning a wedding and live entertainment from a jazz band and soloists, it promises to be a great event. We hope to see you there.

If you're getting married take inspiration from our real weddings featuring local couples.

In this issue we celebrate Mother's Day with suggestions for ways to treat your mum and make her feel special. And there's all the regular favourites including food and fashion and homes and gardens.

Finally, we couldn't let this issue pass without marking the city's incredible farewell to Wolverhampton royalty, Sir Jack Hayward. Lifelong friend Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint reflects on a fitting tribute and the legacy of this giant of a man.

The March issue of Wolverhampton Magazine is in shops today. Visit the website for where to buy.
