There is more than 70 years between baby Heidi-Mae and her great great grandmother Margaret Taylor, who is 75.

Heidi-Mae was born last Friday at Walsall Manor Hospital weighing eight pound 14 ounces.

Proud new parents Kathleen Taylor, 18, and Luke Woolley, 17, were 'over the moon' , said Kathleen's mum Sheena Taylor.

The young couple got engaged on Kathleen's 18th birthday on December 1.

Heidi and Kathleen - or Katie as her family call her - live with Kathleen's mother Sheena in Victoria Street, Willenhall.

The 35-year-old mum-of-four now finds herself at the heart of the Taylor family.

Heidi is her first grandchild while she is also the first great grandchild of Sheena's mum Mary Taylor, 54, who lives nearby in Temple Road.

Although the tot could be the first of many for Mary who currently has 22 grandchildren.

Sheena said: "It was all just very emotional and we were all just crying when Heidi was born. We were worried because Katie got rushed into theatre but now we are all just very very happy.

"It feels very strange being a nan. I have got a one-year-old son myself and it feels weird that I am a nan now, I am only 35.

"I cried when I found out Katie was pregnant. She is bright and intelligent and I want her to have a good future. She was doing hair and beauty which she wants to go back to.

"But I had Katie at around the same age, all the family are supporting her and she is doing brilliant. She is a really good mum."

"We are a big family but we are all very close. There are lots of big parties with birthdays and engagements and there is going to be another big wedding this year."

She added: "You never know we may have a sixth generation. My nan is only 75 and her mum lived until she was 100. If nan lives to that age there is a good chance."
