Walsall based Sam Miles has seen off competition from across the region to become one of only four tradesmen and women to make it through to this stage of competition.

Now in its fifth year, this highly sought after award, led by leading multi-channel supplier, Screwfix, aims to recognise and champion the best tradesmen in the UK.

Mr Miles is now in with the chance of making it through to the grand final at Wembley stadium, where one finalist will be crowned Britain's Top Tradesman and receive a brand new Toyota truck worth £28,000.

Mr Miles trades under the name S Miles Electrical, based in Walsall.

He said: "I always strive to offer my customers the best service I possibly can, whenever they need it, even if it's late at night.

"It's fantastic to be recognised for this by being shortlisted for Britain's Top Tradesman and I look forward to attending the regional final."

Screwfix marketing director John Mewett said: "Sam has made it through to the regional finals because he has shown a real willingness to help his customers whenever they need it, without compromising on quality of service."

The regional final will be held on October 6 at the Screwfix store in Birmingham.
