Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon was among those to hit the ice to mark the final visit for the tour as it reached Birmingham's National Indoor Arena last night.

It is the final countdown for the tour fronted by ice-skating legends Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean after the TV spectacular finished following eight series earlier this year. Crowds were wowed by impressive routines as the final tour started the first of a four-night run at the NIA.

The line-up includes four former winners of the Dancing on Ice ITV show such as ex-rugby player Kyran Bracken, popstar and actress Suzanne Shaw and former X Factor star Ray Quinn.

Comedian Joe Pasquale, who was the star of this year's pantomime at The Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, was also part of the line-up for the live ice show.

Viewing figures had fallen during the TV show's run but people have still clamoured for tickets to see the final tour.

Torvill and Dean will take some time off after the live tour finishes at the end of the month. The show continues in Birmingham until Easter Monday.
