Greatest day of her life for Gary Barlow fan Hayley

A lucky lady had the greatest day of her life and became the envy of women around the world when she was serenaded by none other than heartthrob Gary Barlow.

Hayley Tatton was plucked from the crowd of 13,000 during the Take That star's show at Birmingham's LG Arena last night to sing A Million Love Songs.

Far from being shy at coming face to face with her idol, Hayley, from Penkridge, took pictures and recorded a video on her mobile phone as Gary laughed along while playing the piano.

She got a rapturous reception, dancing arm in arm with Barlow.

In Hayley's video, posted online, she captures a grinning Barlow playing the piano and then moves in for a 'selfie' style pose, putting her arm around the multi-million record selling superstar.

Her antics had some of the crowd in tears of laughter. Social media was awash with praise – and jealousy – after Hayley's special moment.

And she tweeted that it was the night of her dreams.

"Really have just had the most amazing night of my life. Danced with Gary Barlow, out of 13,000 amazing people. Was so random, he just went 'you' and I went up.

"I loved every minute. Just couldn't help but have a laugh.

"Can't believe how lucky I was tonight, I really can't. I hope I did 13,000 people proud."

The singer thanked Hayley for joining him on stage, while one of his band mates later took to Twitter to say Hayley made their night.

Saxophone player Mike Stevens said: "Birmingham you were great. And a special shout out to Hayley for making our night. You're a star."

And fans also thought Hayley's duet was marvellous.

Kim Bardle messaged her to say: "I was there last night you had me and my sister in tears through laughing, well done you lucky lady."

Sarah Kearney, from Stafford, added: "Me and mum felt like you were up there representing our area! You did amazing."

Barlow's rare tour – on which he was last night supported by Eliza Doolittle – is to promote his first solo album in 14 years.

Since I Saw You Last was released in November and reached number two in the UK album chart. He's back at the LG Arena on April 19.
