A singing postman is hoping for a chart-topping hit with his first ever single.
Nathan Farrell’s debut song has been 12 months in the making.
And the 27-year-old from Walsall says he is keeping his fingers crossed that the ballad goes down well in the charts.
He said today: “It’s a dream come true to finally see my debut single all done and dusted.
“It has been 12 months in the making and I think it sounds great.”
It has been a rollercoaster 18 months for the father of two after he was signed up by London-based artist development agency Downtown Artists.
Since then he has competed in some top talent competitions.
He said seeing his first single The Closer You Come in the flesh was an amazing feeling.
He continued: “I’ve auditioned for The Voice and also X Factor and been knocked back every time so this now feels great.
“I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am now. My family are all really proud.”
Mr Farrell, who has been a postman for the past 10 years, said he hoped to release a second single in the near future and then even his debut album.
The Closer You Come is available on Amazon and iTunes.
Mr Farrell, of Church Street, Bloxwich, lives with his partner Jayne and their two children two-year-old Connor and Casey, aged one.
He added: “I’m hoping all the people who I deliver to will buy the song. Everyone knows who I am.”
