Kerrie Davis was a racing certainty to get involved in the world of motorsport – and she’s heading a team of students on track for an international competition at Silverstone next month.

Kerrie, aged 23, from Cannock, is the team manager for BCU Racing, a student racing team, and is the only woman in her year on the BSc (Hons) Motorsports Technology course at Birmingham City University.

The team is taking part in Formula Student, the world’s biggest student motorsport event.

Teams from 34 countries worldwide are participating in the challenge which involves designing, building and racing a single-seater racing car from scratch. It takes place between Thursday, July 14 and 17.
