They won’t knowingly do it but voluntary groups are, bizarrely, not set up to encourage volunteers. And this isn’t just football but just about every charity and community group.

They welcome volunteers but tey are so desperate to prove how well they are running things they scare people off. They also will not detail specific jobs and tasks so you will get a lot of people volunteering but actually they’ll never get anything to do whilst those who complain that no one else comes forward will keep doing things themselves (or actually don’t do things themselves and everything goes to pot)

Those that have shown an interest but aren’t engaged (because people are too busy to engage them) then become disenchanted with the groups and become apathetic because they wonder what is the point.

But here’s a question, when ave the trust held a big open meeting where people can engage. And when have Unity ever held an election to validate their representative credentials?

They could take these points and use them to improve. But those that like calling themselves chairmen or sitting in meetings with the club won’t like risking their position.

There again, like nearly all men, I used my first mirror at 5 years old and the love affair has lasted until now. I cannot offer a long-lasting affair, but in its stead, an explosive, passionate, shooting star experience, never to be forgotten.

I just read your post,and honestly,I wasn’t even thinking of you when I typed no.18.
Even your mate Wall Heath Max,who I know personally and have had a couple of drinks with,didn’t really come to mind.
There are one or two that react wildly from week to week,and there’s someone who’s been bangin’ on about Roy since the Summer,and they tend to flash through my mind when these stories appear.

(p.s. I could have also put ‘are they mad?’,it was just an imaginary conversation).

Robbie Keane always split the Aston Villa fans down the middle when talk of him coming was abound but I never doubted his abilities one bit. Being an Irishman of course some will say I’m biased but his record will stand up against the best in the world. He was treated really badly by RAFA BENITEZ at Liverpool but he shrugged that bad experience off like a pro and kept putting the ball in the net wherever he’s gone.
We should’ve signed ROBBIE yrs back before his £6mil move to COVENTRY but that MISER Deadly DOUGIE ELLIS wouldn’t fork out the other half a million for his services. I truly believe we missed an opportunity to push the club forward at that time. Story of our lives at VILLA PK. We come so close so often only to be let down by greedy chairmen.
Robbie’s shown all of us how top drawer he still is at this level of the game and he’s provign his doubters wrong again!! hint, hint-Sir Alex! He once remarked when Keane went to Coventry that he wouldn’t have paid 5ook for the lad. Apparently Keane was gd enough for £6mil deal..How many international strikers have scored his tally of over 50 goals?? We didn’t even have a top team for him to play in either thru all those years in the GREEN JERSEY yet he scored for fun for us. ROBBIE will be forever remembered for his short spell at VP no matter what ppl say about him. The majority of VILLANS always wanted U at VILLA PK Robbie lad..Hope u call again next yr..

well inside man if you are right again i will take my hat off to you.
i think oddy should play , let him play himself back into form, and he does seem to have the beating of johnson.
a draw tomo wont be a bad result ,a defeat could have a massive bearing on the rest of the season to either clubs .
the managers team talk will make a big diff aswell , roy needs to match mm,s passion . inside man do u fancy taking it

I’m certainly not a football expert, I’m sure for the first time most of you will agree with me on that. I merely have a view on things which people can either agree with or disagree with. If that makes me an idiot in the eyes of some then so be it. I don’t agree with a lot of posts on this site, but I have the utmost respect for the those that write them and certainly see no one on here as an idiot. RH has a very respectable record as a coach. He would’nt have got the Liverpool job or be being talked about for the England job were that not so.

I’m not taking sides,but there’s more to this than meets the eye.

Someone has already been in trouble for annoying and intimidating people on one site,and believe me,there’s been a lot of mischief on here.

I know a few things that most others are not aware of,so be careful who you befriend,I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be used for someone else’s purposes.

I’ll explained in more detail if we eventually meet up for a drink sometime.

As for now,if you see Lennie back in your second home,say hello.

I shook his hand and spoke to him at his testimonial,he then smiled and walked away.

He’ll remember.

I had a Redwing drinking out of my Kio pool two days ago he came fron Russia for that privilege. Nearly got a Robin to take meal-worm from hand. Waits every morning for his grub (excuse the pun). Wonder if that Throstle is a good omen for Sunday.
