The company will set up shop next door to BHS on the ground floor of the Mander Centre, which is currently undergoing a £35 million makeover.

The Swedish chain was top of a wish list of stores readers wanted to be part of the revamped centre in an Express & Star poll last year.

The company is keeping details of the move and number of jobs created under wraps for the time being, although the size of the unit is substantial.

It will be launched in the autumn. The retailer already owns 268 outlets in UK and Ireland.
