Jobs are promised as Stafford Home Bargains moves in

Discount store Home Bargains will open a new store in Stafford, creating 40 jobs.

The chain has taken over the former Comet unit at the Hough Retail Park and will be opening its doors on Saturday.

The firm has spent £500,000 on a refit.

The Comet store has been vacant for more than a year since the chain entered administration, with the loss of 13 jobs.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: "??We'??re excited to be opening our second store in Stafford and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers through the doors."

Pet food, medicines, beauty products, home furnishings and a limited amount of clothing will be sold at the store.
