The Express & Star has launched a free weekly edition to more than 22,000 homes in Kidderminster.

The first edition, published yesterday, was packed with news, information, sport and features about Kidderminster.

The Express & Star team will provide readers with  everything they need to know about their town – from breaking news and guest columnists to nostalgia, letters and what’s on.

And a new two-page round-up of all local sport is included too, with all the latest Harriers’ news and views.

The Thursday version of the Kidderminster Express & Star is just an example of Britain’s biggest-selling regional daily newspaper.

Readers can pick up a copy of the Dudley and Wyre Forest Express & Star every other day of the week except Sunday for just 42p. The Express & Star has been named Midlands Newspaper of the Year for 2012.

Phil Inman, managing director of publisher Midland News Association, said the launch of the Thursday edition illustrates the paper’s long-term commitment to Kidderminster.

He said: “We believe this new offering will be valued by readers and advertisers, with 86 per cent of the households within its footprint receiving a free copy every week.”
