40 new care jobs thanks to council contract

Up to 40 new jobs will be created after a care firm secured a contract to deliver services helping the elderly and those with learning difficulties.

Carewatch will run home care and support services in Wednesbury, West Bromwich, Oldbury and Smethwick.

The contract, which begins on March 1, involves providing home care to residents who are elderly, have learning or physical difficulties, suffer from mental heath illness or are hospital release patients.

The company secured the deal with Sandwell Council.
