moreCFT Services Ltd, the nationwide pallet distribution firm with depots in the West Midlands and Lancashire, is thrilled to announce the opening of a new depot and storage facility on Potters Lane, Wednesbury – an investment that has created new jobs and better flexibility for the business.

The company opened its original Wednesbury depot in 2007 with one employee and 5,000 sq ft of storage. Today CFT Services employs 33 people and has in excess of 50,000 sq ft of storage, and all this during the toughest recession in recent memory – the firm must be doing something right.

The company has expanded its Wednesbury operation with the addition of the new site on Potters Lane, just around the corner from the existing depot, and on June 19 the company welcomed Councillor Keith Davies, Mayor of Sandwell, to officially open the new premises.

The new site will allow the company to expand its pallet distribution and to build upon its position as the number one pallet input company for Pallet-Track Ltd, the Bilston-based nationwide pallet network of which CFT is a shareholder member.

John Wild, sales director at CFT, said: "We are very focused on customer service, just being competitive isn't enough in 2012.

"As a company we have embraced the Black Country's work ethic and people skills; all our depot staff are local people who have bought into our company ethos to care for the customer.

"As we constantly promote from within we like to think we can provide a workplace where employees can learn new skills and see a career progression.

"I am sure that our customers appreciate a service-driven approach as well as a friendly voice on the phone."

CFT Services offers a one-stop shop for nationwide pallet distribution and storage.

"Wednesbury is a key location for serving the UK as it is very central with great road links. It has complimented our Heywood depot in Lancashire and allowed us to grow our vehicle fleet and customer base accordingly,".

"We have also managed to build key partnerships with like-minded companies in the south of England and Scotland which, alongside the Pallet Track network, has given us improved service levels to the benefit of our customers."

John added: "The new depot on Potters Lane has given us the extra space we need to build on the success of our pallet distribution service. It will provide more career opportunities for local people keen to join the logistics industry.

"We were extremely honoured to have the Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Keith Davies, to officially open the new depot.

"We are also rightly proud of our Wednesbury depot and our staff – here's to another exciting five years."
