More gizmos – less memory

The big thing in 2012 will be televisions, music systems and other electronic gizmos which are operated by voice or hand signal, without the need for remote controls, writes Peter Rhodes.
As Auntie Beeb puts it: “Controlling the TV without a remote would eliminate the need to look for it.”
Quite so.
But have you noticed how the further technology advances, and the less we have to remember anything, the worse our memories get?
