Peter Rhodes writes: Life on Mars star Philip Glenister says: “The majority of people who watch TV drama are late 30s and over-40s, because we’re the ones who don’t go out and don’t have a life any more.”
He’s absolutely right, thank God.
This “get a life” thing is grossly overrated.
If you have not learned by 30 to avoid any club, hotel or holiday resort described as “lively,” then you have my sympathy.
The only thing worse than lively is “vibrant”.
Shun it at all costs.
