Vegan cats – the terror of the vegetable patch
Thursday 28th October 2010, 12:35AM BST.
World Vegan Month is at hand and it’s not just humans who are being encouraged to avoid all animal products.
The Vegan Society wants us to put Fido and Tiddles on non-animal diets but admits: “Introducing a vegan diet to cats may take more time.”
Damn right. You’ll know you’ve succeeded when you see your cat tormenting an aubergine on the lawn.
The trouble with vegan cats is that when no-one’s looking they will eat meat. But then so do humans.
You would be amazed how many vegetarians have the occasional bacon butty.
