Records system could be bad medicine
You reported on May 31 that a computerised £280,000 NHS patient records system is to be introduced in Sandwell.
Strong stance needed to end violence
Whatever is this country coming to when an innocent shopkeeper cannot ask people to leave his store, on account of the fact they are breaking the law by drinking beer on his premises and he risks losing his licence (“Newsagent attacked by hockey stick gang”, May 28).
Parents need to be wary
The proposal coming from the Conservatives regarding unemployment (“Tory Party’s dire warning over benefits culture”, May 27) is nothing but hopeful vote catching.

It is refreshing to see David Cameron calling for a high-powered scrutineer of police.

I can only wonder what planet Stafford councillors live on when I read they are to have a meeting to discuss the implications of the Baswich Lane closure to town traffic.
