Motorists in Stourbridge are facing a summer of discontent after a series of road-clogging works were announced. Drivers heading towards the town along the Hagley Road will be forced to follow a diversion for three weeks from May 24.

A total of 130 motorists were stopped by police and handed with fines for illegally using a Walsall town centre road as a cut through. Drivers travelling along St Paul’s Street were hit with £30 on the spot penalties.
