Wolves and Albion have been paired with lower league opposition in the third round of the FA Cup – but Villa host an all-Premier League tie.
Both the Black Country clubs will hit the road with the Baggies headed to League One Huddersfield, while Mick McCarthy’s men will have to wait to find out their opponents.
It will be either League One bottom club Tranmere or League Two Aldershot who will welcome the Premier League club, but first a replay must take place at the Shots’ Receration Ground after a goalless draw at Prenton Park yesterday.
Villa will play Blackburn for the second time this season, after Rovers won 2-1 at Ewood Park in September.
Birmingham will also travel to face lower league opposition, with a trip to play Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in wait.
Ties will be played on January 2 and 3.
