Wolves loan pair Sam Vokes and Carl Ikeme have been praised amid mixed fortunes for their temporary clubs.
Vokes was involved in two of Leeds’ four goals against Yeovil on Saturday – their second successive 4-0 win that put them seven points clear at the top of League One.
The 20-year-old striker has helped Simon Grayson’s side to three victories in four games, also scoring in a 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers.
Grayson said: “I’m pleased with Sam. He has come in and worked hard and got his first goal for us. He’s here until January and we’re delighted Wolves have allowed him to come.
“We’re also delighted with the way he’s contributing.”
Vokes, like fellow loanee Max Gradel from Leicester, misses Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie at Oldham under the terms of the agreement with Wolves.
Elsewhere in League One, Ikeme saved a penalty on his Charlton debut at Carlisle – but was powerless to stop Cumbrians running out 3-1 victors at Brunton Park.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper blocked Ian Harte’s spot-kick, only for the former Wolves trialist to net the rebound.
Former Stoke midfielder Graham Kavanagh then netted two long range strikes that gave Ikeme no chance.
Charlton boss Phil Parkinson, who was sent to the stand for taking his protest at the penalty too far, said: “I thought Carl did well.”
