Wolves have held talks with Reading striker Kevin Doyle with a view to signing the £6.5million-rated striker.
The 25-year-old, who has a release clause in his contract for that figure, has been shown around Compton Park by Molineux officials.
Signing Doyle would mean Wolves doubling their record outlay for a player, after the £3million previously spent on Kenny Miller and Ade Akinbiyi.
But the indications are that the Premier League new-boys are ready to spend heavily on the right players, to give the club the best possible chance of surviving their first season in the Premier League.
A Doyle arrival would follow the captures of Nenad Milijas and Doyle’s former Reading team-mate Marcus Hahnemann.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has long been an admirer of the Republic of Ireland international – who crucially has the Premier League experience the manager craves – having scored 13 goals in Reading’s first season in the top flight in 2006/07.
Doyle, who has scored 55 goals in 154 League games for Reading, only signed an extension to his contract last November, taking him through to June 2011.
But after the Royals failed to win promotion at the first attempt, Premier League clubs have been alerted and Wolves have tried to steal a march on their rivals.
Indeed, signing Doyle would represent something a coup for Wolves as a newly-promoted club.
The former Cork forward was expected to attract a move to an established top flight club, with Everton and Villa linked with the highly-rated player.
Doyle is a familiar face to Wolves players, as he has been in the Irish squad with Wolves stars Andy Keogh and Kevin Foley, and is seen as the main striker for his country after former Molineux golden boy Robbie Keane.
The 25-year-old scored 18 goals last season, but only two in the second half of the season as Reading’s promotion challenge faded.
But the signs are that he would welcome a fresh challenge following the departure of Steve Coppell as Reading boss at the end of the season, after they were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by eventual winners Burnley.

If we get Doyle that will be a fantastic signing!!! It could mean a depature of S.Ward… Nah surely not lol.
wow, seems like all the “my mates dads dogs collar maker saw him at the training ground” rumours are actually true!!! Awesome
Report abuse
we might be signing someone over 3m
i think im gonna faint
now for mancienne, s hunt and fraizer campbell
Report abuse
Wow what a signing he would make! just hope we can get him in. alot of money, but if he scores 10-15 goals he will have paid his money off. Come on u wolves
Report abuse
That’s great news. I think Doyle would be a great signing, and he has impressed in games for the Republic against the best defences.
If they are prepared to spend that sort of money why havn’t they signed Mancienne?
That’s more like it!!!
(What was it the E&S said last week …. “Wolves have been linked with Doyle but the £6.5m fee is well out of the reach of the clubs resources”)
Quality signing (hopefully). Gets on the end of crosses and puts them away, right age, good team player and fits our team culture. Superb.
Our policy…spend heavily on the right players. Hey that sounds a good.
Step forward quickly the “I’ll believe it when I see it” brigade because your opportunities for moaning are soon going to run out.
PS. If I have beat Wolvesmod to the 1st posting do I get a prize?
to all wolves fans who saw my message on friday when i broke the news to you ,said he will be signing ,the fee has been agreed just the wages to sort out
Report abuse
Would be a great singing!
come on me babbies
Report abuse
NOW WE’R TALKIN! :)
This is brilliant news if we can pull this off. top top player who showed his class last year till injuries hampered him. Would be the perfect partner for SEB, hes got class and is great with the ball but also knows where the net is.
PLEASE wolves wrap this up. Would rather spend BIG on 3-4 top players than loads of mediocre players
Report abuse
This is the signing we need. Him and Ebanks Blake upfront would be a quality partnership. 6.5 is alot of money but quality does cost and this shows a real intent on making our mark in the premier league. I personally think we should go to the albion with 5mil for Olsson and Morrison next although the club are in talks with Kevin Nolan, Steven Taylor, Joe Ledley. Also take Aaron Ramsay on a season loan.
I know i moan but this could be the difference to staying up or not.
Let’s hope we get him signed up fast n not make him wait around for another Premiership team to offer him more money.
Many fans will say ‘What did he do last season?’ But I think he’s Premiership class.
Not sure about that one to be honest.
For over 6 mil we could get a lot better than Doyle. We are craving central defenders and a couple more midfielders.
I think this would be a great signing for wolves, with him and SEB up front they should give us the goals to stay up.
Just need to get a new centre back and some cover players.
Quality Signing, Ebanks Doyle NOLAN if we can get him AMAZING SIGNING — Him and the new boy Milijas in the middle .. Things are looking up… THE SOUTH BANK!!!!
Hmmm, I work in Reading and talk football to a few Reading Season Ticket Holders, they don’t actually rate Doyle, their comments included the following words in no particular order – horses, a, with, hit, banjo, couldn’t and A***.
They seem to be glad of getting shot of him.
They largely blame him for missing out on promotion, he was still getting good service in the second half of the season, but just couldn’t score, I just hope I’m wrong.
If this guy is worth £6.5 million, what the hell is SEB worth!!!!! I genuinly dont think we need this guy for such a massive outlay. There are more potent goalscorers out there at a much more realistic price……..However this is my opinion but rest assured, if MM does sign Doyle, they would get my upmost support. Gold and Black forever.
Not sure on this, he lost interest when the move to Everton never happened in January, as did Stephen Hunt!
if we get him it would be an exellent signing he is such top class good move wolves like to see ya slplashing out some money but is this just speculation again ? i wont believe until i officially see it on wolves website standing with jez then i will believe it :)
Brilliant news get in !!
Either this is to keep the fans happy that we are looking at big signings or the deal has been done.
I LL beleive it when he signs and hope it happens.
The only player ever to have shown Joleon Lescott a clean set of heels at Molineux. Great signing if he comes, go and get Stephen Hunt as well.
Haysus! If me Dad were alive he would be rowing Cork Harbour with a pig’s trotter. Sign him, I mean Doyle, he’s a gem who will be revived after a disappointing season in a holey boat on Reading lagoon.
At last – a potential decent signing! Let’s hope we can put this one to bed – I was beginning to worry that we were not following thru on Moxey’s promise to back MM.
I was going to come on here today, to moan about the clubs lack of ambition, but kevin doyle would be great, the best championship striker in my book, lets hope he signs.
Ambitious signing, has top flight experience and has scored a few goals at that level.
Haven’t been this encouraged by a signing since Stearman signed last year…a definite move in the right direction!
Superb signing if we pull it off, at last we have shown some real ambition in the transfer market!! I wonder who’s next
Report abuse
SEB and Doyle. Wow.
For £6m I’d much rather have Doyle than Benitez; at least he has recent experience of the Premier League and has proven he can score goals at that level.
Good to hear we’re willing to spend the cash.. hope this isn’t going to be our only big signing! Doyle is decent, but hardly inspiring!
Difficult seeing us getting anyone better to be honest. With the right supply line should get 8 – 12 goals in the Prem. My thinking is 5.5m is approx the right price, yet getting this type of talent signed up quickly is the key. Feel a deal of this nature will still take another week. Would like to see if the rumours of us capturing Nolan are true, to see us sign both on the same day one either side of Mick would be AWESOME !!!!!
This would show real intent and would back up the words that big Jez has spoke so much about.
I think he would complement Ebanks and they could form a great partnership!
My kind of signing! Hope it happens now!!
Kevin Nolan linked too. He would also be a great signing.
Maybe mid table is a realistic dream if we sign these players or am i getting a little carried away?
Who cares, come on you wolves!!!
It’s looking good…Top centre half as well please…to be going on with.
THIS COULD BE MICKS ‘MASTER MOVE’ AND WHAT A GOOD MOVE IT WILL BE.
HE SHOULD FIT IN SO WELL WITH THE ESTABLISHED STRIKERS, HAS PREMIERSHIP EXPERIENCE THAT WE NEED, AND LEADERSHIP QUALITIES NEEDED ALL AROUND THE GROUND.DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE IS IRISH, HIS COMMAND OF THE LOCAL LANGUAGE IS REFRESHING, COMPARED TO MANY OF THE NAMES WE HAVE BEEN LINKED WITH OVER THE PAST WEEKS.
YES,YES,YES DON’T DELAY, GET HIM TO SIGN TODAY.
Him and Sylvan would be a good partnership. I would fancy these two to score more than Middlesbrough did last season ie about 26/28.
Must get the work permit sorted for the Serb and with the keeper signing we are getting there, hopefully!
Boo – no ambition, splash the cash etc..
DOYLE IN TALKS FOR £6.5m MOVE
Boo – too much for him
FFS people – we have managed to sign some decent players over the last couple of seasons for considerably less than what they are worth with a few dud deals – Darren Ward, Shackell – thrown in for good measure.
I think if we are indeed going to make a decent fist of trying to stay up this season, we need to pay a little over the odds for some players or risk a 2003-style last minute mess – e.g. Iverssen. If we can get £750K for Potter, for example, we could view this as ‘bonus’ money to pay towards the extra couple of million that £6.5m represents for Doyle. Maybe we have one or two players that Reading could be interested in to soften the cash element.
We’ve got a big boys budget now but we need to pay a little too much for one or two players to ensure it isn’t a repeat of recent history. Better to spend (assuming the wages etc are contained so that we don’t end up in trouble if relegated – which I assume Jez will do) than not.
Now this is the type of signing I like! If we get to acheive this signing it will really show our intent! Go on Moxey give the lad a decent wage and stop others guzumping as normal!!!! COME ON THE MIGHTY WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No.19, I think you have a valid point and it bears out my earlier post 17, this is also reflected by Reading fans, hopefully a move back into the prem will get him fired up again.

Yes, it’s about time that we broke through the 3.5 mil barrier,Doyle is definately a step forward now spend the same amount to get Mancienne,Nolan would also improve the team.

I hate to say this but, he has been in talks with us and Blues, he has visited both grounds from what I understand and both clubs have a fee agreed, which is less than the 6.5 mill quoted. They have also offered him more money than us, so we will see if the Dann situation arises again.
If he does sign it will be a major coup, it will also help to bring in other tops players as the squad will start to look like it is capable of surviving.
I wont celebrate until I see he him in a Wolves shirt!!

£6.5m does sound a touch pricey tbh. I am also disapointed that this has been published by the E&S so soon, I would have prefered the story to tell us he’s signed. I can see this being another Scott Dann scenario with us being ‘gazumped’. I’m glad we missed out on Dann because I think he aint good enough and would have cost too much but if this story alerts others to signing Doyle i’ll be annoyed. GET HIM SIGNED MOXEY!
Oh dear !
What a waste of money, again Mick goes for the Irish, the only suprise is he’s never played for sunderland.
If he’s worth 6.5m then SEB must be worth 50m.
Would be some signing alright!
I think that would be our front line sorted pretty much with Vokes and Iwelumo as support for Doyle and Blake.
Now for a good strong ball winning centre mid and a quality centre back and we are ready to go :)
Not bad at all but not massively exciting either. He is a decent player for sure and could work well with SEB but is he Premiership quality and worth £6.5m? Think the money could possibly be better spent. He did disappear in the second half of the season last year when the going got tough.
Really pleased that it appears we’re prepared to spend that kind of money though after the recent reports of players being out of our price range in terms of transfer fees and wages.
Not excited by that… :(
think he’s too much like SEB, but not as good! Need someone to complement SEB, an intelligent player that will help feed a quality finisher.
hopefully, if we do sign him, i’m wrong and he’ll come good like many of MM’s signings.

Would be a great coup for us, 1 step ahead of Villa, Blues etc. And a notice of intent Wolves are prepared to spend money on the right payers.
Lets hope he puts pen to paper.
Ive always rated Doyle, if he can sort out his attitude from last season (the reason he was dropped) he his Premier League quality. £6.5million sounds alot tho for a player who had a number of problems last season, a gamble but if it pays off the money will look like peanuts.
Good Player, Too Much money tho!!
Will pay 6.5m for Doyle but won’t pay 6.0m for Huddlestone!??
I suppose there is a lot we are not being told but it would be a step in the right direction.
just think there is better players for that much. We need another Decent midfielder and a centre half. don’t expect Jarvis and Kightly to be fit ALL season so need some cover there!!!
Still need at least 4 DECENT Players in my eyes!!
I think that we already have the players to score enough goals to keep us up – the key is to not concede too many. Our priority should be the defence. This signigng would only be any good if there is a top quality centre half or two to go with it!
So that’s him off to the Blues for an extra 5K a week. Doesn’t matter whether we smash our record transfer fee or not, he’ll take the extra dosh on offer down the road I’m sure.
The Reading Chronicle quoted Doyle last week as saying that he didn’t want another relegation scrap – which is why he wasn’t keen on coming to Wolves. There’s only a maximum of four teams not likely to be in the relegation battle that may have an interest in him; Vile, Everton, West Ham or Fulham by my reckoning.
So he will more than likely end up being at a club involved in a relegation scrap – so it’ll likely be a money issue swinging his decision. Which means that we’re likely to struggle.
(6WOZZA) THE REASON WE AINT SIGNED MANCIENNE ID BECAUSE HES ON ENGLAND UNDER 21 DUTY AND HE WANTS TO TALK TO THE NEW CHELSEA MAMAGER WHEN HE GET BACK ONLY THEN WILL HE STAY AT CHELSEA OR MOVE TO WOLVES ON LOAN OR MAY BE A PERMANENLY
Report abuse
I’m delighted, I think it is a vast amount of money for less than 20 goals a season, but I think he is quality, so I am happy – and lets face it we can afford it!
If Mancienne is not for sale, how about a season long loan deal with no call back! Would that be possible.
I feel we desperately need a spine of premier league experience. Kevin Nolan, Mancienne, A Another Centre Back, and some full back cover is desperately required.
We need cover on the wings, and if Hunt wants to leave Reading as well he would be good, Irish, and experienced in England!
I am desperate to see the backbone develop, because without it I think we could struggle. With it, I truly believe we could easily compete with the second division of the Premiership, and fight for mid table!
Come on you Wolves
Report abuse
I loved Micks quote from last week when the fixtures were released, asked if he was looking forward to playing the likes of Man Utd etc he said we wont be on a stadium tour I expect to finish in the top half of the table,I think this reflects most fans views and hopes I like the fact that Mick thinks we are not going into this forthcoming season as cannon fodder for the bigger teams with the transfers we are looking at he may well be right.
Am i the only one who would have preferred Matt Berbyshire at little over half the price?

It could be a double signing …. bbc 606 are linking us to a Ukranian with an odd name
Olexiy Gay
I kid you not ….. !
There may well be some competition yet for his signing. I will be delighted if he signs, but not completey shocked if he goes elsewhere. There seems to be big competition for good players.
I too like Mancienne, but you can hardly say he has PL experience, he had more experience with us than in the Chelsea team. He was on the bench most of the time.
Just looked up this Ukraine winger
How many names can one player have? Known as Gay, Goi and Hoi
Plays for UEFA cup winning side (Shaktar), 12 caps and is said to joining us for £4m
Report abuse
Would be a good signing lets hope he doesn’t get poached at the last minute.
In these days of inflated prices £6.5 million is a snip for a striker with proven premiership quality – get him – its a bargain if his injuries are now behind him.
Olexiy Gay to Wolves?
Newly promoted Premiership side Wolverhampton Wanderers are believed to be interested in Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine international star Olexiy Gay, and will pay £4 million for the player.
The 26 year old midfielder, also known as Oleksiy Hai, has been a target for a number of European sides but has always remained in the Ukraine for the last 10 years.
However, he is now willing to move to the Premiership.
Gay has over 15 caps for the Ukraine national team, and is regarded by many as one of the best players in the international side at the moment.
Wolves will be hoping to tie up a deal for the player in July
Report abuse
Dont believe the hype. He left the training ground friday without signing saying he wanted time to think about it. Just alerting other clubs thats all he was doing. There is no way he will be joining wolves.
19 goals in 2 premiership seasons – sounds good to me.
Being a little cynical, no surprise this news has been the main headline on the day season tickets go on general sale.
Would be a great signing, IMO. In fact he would be an ideal signing. Good footballer, holds the ball up well and he is good in the air too.
I think he would be a great partner for SEB and could play a loan forward role if required (as he did at the Mol last year when Reading thumped us).
If we can pull this one off, it definetly would show our intent. (MAncienne and Huddlestone, or the like and a few young and hungry players from the fizzy would do it for the prem survival and maybe a bit more, IMO).
I trust MM and maybe I should start trusting M+M!!!
I liked the look of Mancienne last season but he was awful the other night against Finland. I would still sign him up, if available but this is unlikely at present – due to a new Chelsea manager being in place – but he is learning the game, not vastly experienced.
Can I just point out that for £6.5m we could have got Michael Owen on a free from Newcastle and
paid him £1.5m a year for the next 4 years and still have £.5m change!!Debate please!!!
Owen is not young, hungry or an assett – end of!
Great news, both in the player and the fact that Wolves are showing true intent by agreeing the signing fee,Doyle did come off the boil(pardon the pun) a bit near the end of the season, but saying that E- Blake’s rapid scoring rate slowed as well, hopefully with both of them and good service we will have a goal machine that will terrorize the Premiership, get him to sign the dotted line Quick, very quick.
76 – look at Owens injury record!! Its shocking at best. I dont know why Newcastle signed him to be honest he has lost what he had.

76. Gatwick Wolves.
I think I read that Owen’s on £110k/week, and he’s willing to accept half of that. That’d be about £2.5m/year – which changes your maths. It’s worth the debate, but I think Owen’s injury problems are a risk, he’s lost his pace, and he isn’t hungry anymore. I can’t see him motivating himself for a newly promoted side, even if we could persuade him to slum it – and I think his lifestyle (racing stables, helicopters) would have a negative impact on the dressing room.
The only reason I’d want Owen is as a statement of intent to encourage other potential signings that we mean business.
…which is also the only reason I’d want us to sign Doyle for £6.5m.
For same money we could have brought Derbyshire 3 Mill and Tamudo from Espanyol 2.5 Mill… this is a crazy move and I hope it gets scuppered! Think Mick is letting his heart lead with this Irish lad, 6.5 mill is completely bonkers! Even 5 Mill is too much.. i am not saying we shouldn’t spend that kind of money, we need too, but can be better spent!
Owen scored more Prem goals before he was 20, than Doyle will score in his entire career!

Yeah, lets sign Owen and a knee surgeon to follow him around ….
Are you and Albion fan????

Owen is not a realistic target. I think this guy has goals in him and has proven it in the Prem. However, I think his agent is trying to drum up a bit more interest.
Lets just see it would be a strong signing and show some intent. We need one big signing to help persuade other players in. Mick will definately splash some cash on a name or two to keep us quiet
Nolan, Mancienne and Ledley would be perfect additions. We don’t need any more than that – lets not forget we have some quality in our squad who will perform in the big time!

Well I’m pretty sure all our players are on holiday at the moment so i find that blummin unlikely.

I’m quite sure he’s not worth £6.5 million but then again the market has gone crazy and no one is worth their current asking prices. we have to be prepared to part with serious cash to get the best players and Doyle is someone I would relish seeing with SEB at the Mol. He knows how to score in the Prem. having done it before and if he comes close to his previous tally with a decent contribution from SEB we have the goals to take us to a near halfway finish.
Get him signed up quick though because there are many other Prem. rivals after this guy!!!

You clearly don’t know these boards – so let me advise you of them:
1) Never, ever, base any comment on Fact
2) Never, ever, listen to anything Laughingwolf says – apparently we’re in for 159 players (so far)
3) If you have some weak link to insider knowledge (e.g. my mates mom washes Kevin Doyle’s shoe laces) then this adds to the sensationalism of the story
4) Remember about the laughingwolf
rule
5) Remember that Wolves is a big club and the only reason we didn’t sign Kaka or Ronaldo is that we’re being financially prudent and wouldn’t break our wage structure
6) We don’t accept language like bungee, at least until after the opening day of the season – for your information it’s called yo-yo (which is also a type of biscuit)
7) Reading – ha!

6.5 million is not a great deal of money in today’s market- I would actually say it is a very realistic price for a an international who has proven he can score goals at Premiership level. Forget the fact he only scored two in the second half of last season- Reading as a team probably only scored 6 since christmas!
Once he is holding that gold shirt up for the cameras maybe people will realize the three M’s are not sat twiddling their thumbs- they are closing deals in an admirable manner as they have been doing so well for the past two years. Think of all the players, Blakey, Big George, Jarvo, that we never knew were coming and then they are unveiled- most likely to the surprise of the other clubs that were trailing them. Considering the way we conducted our business under the Golden Tit era, our shrewd approach to business over the past few years has been magnificent. Time and again, Jez has to once again mumble, we go about our business quietly and won’t discuss our targets, some fans still sit and accuse the club of sitting on it’s hands/not being prepared to pay the money. I said weeks ago, there will be no sigings, and then for us to expect 5 or 6 in the space of a week or two. If this is a deal they have been working on over the past few weeks, expect another three or four singings by this time next week.
Let’s not destroy the air of optimism and confidence around the club by complaining about a lack of this or that. The three M’s have led us to the promised land with what is shaping up to be one of, if not the most exciting young squad in the country.
Mid table is not just a silly dream. The club has learned from it’s previous errors and we won’t be making the same mistakes again.
Now, if this kid signs for Everton instead, ignore everything I just said and start moaning again.

87. What’s this? You started making info up now.. Tamudo had an injury last season, and has scored over 10 goals every season he has played in La Liga, which is about 9.. apart from last season where he was injured.. and still scored more goals than Doyle did in his 2nd season in Prem!
Derbyshire would rather play in greece than on the bench in UK.. make him first choice.
They were 2 players off top of my head just to point out how ludicrous a price this is for Doyle. he will be as bad a signing as Kitson was for Stoke!

88. My thoughts exactly, money is the object here, I’ll be amazed if knowbody else is linked with Doyle in the morning, as for Ledley…wierd that its gone quiet abut him aint it.
thats it then he is going to blues
everyone wolves are “linked” with are in talks with blues the next day

This deal will not happen. The player had talks friday and then left to consider the offer along with others from bigger clubs. We are just being used to generate intrest in the player i am afraid.

89 & 90 UR…Oh UR.
The good times are over aren’t they?
It’s a terrible shame for you and you have our deepest condolences.
But alas, little family clubs like Reading, Wimbledon and Watford only have a very short time in the upper reaches of football. You must return to your natural position eventually in the 2nd or maybe 3rd tier. It’s time for other little clubs like Wigan and Burnley to taste the delights of the top table with Wolves and the other big boys.
But I hope the dream is still alive for you.
Don’t give up.

Just received email from THE TIMES SPORT. JOE LEDLEY IS TO LEAVE CARDIFF!! Watch this space.

This “story” is hardly new – some of us knew that KD had been to the training ground last Friday – the E&S are a bit slow in their reporting, aren’t they?
If Everton or some other established PL club are in for him, I don’t think we’ve got much chance, as most probably he will choose the club who will pay him the most wages?…….or will he be an exception????!!!! – and choose us for our greater ambition, our massive potential, fan base, superior facilities, our manager, and our many other Irish Internationals?
Fingers, and everything else, crossed……

The Doyle deal is clearly not done. Another Sunderland cast off will probably beat it to the punch. I do have concerns that we are not gonna land the big deals. The surprise announcements tend to be the hidden gems, which generally proves to the good but doesn’t lift our profile. Reckon there’s plenty more to guess for a while yet.

Neil Collins scored almost as nany as Doyle for Reading after christmas………… Seriously a very good signing.

i see that wwfc have been in talks with billy livingstone

who cares about the price to be honest? so what if ppl think he’s a mill overpriced? at the end of the day he’s going to improve our team as he’l bring something we havn’t got… a striker with pace!
Him and SEB would work well with each other… SEB stays central while Doyle does work out wide and beyond… get in!

Just got the message that the move to wolves is off – I think we will see more of this as the kick off gets closer. But its a statement that we are willing to spend – but we do have a wages cap, to the greedy agents that will not be good.
this is a great signing if it is to happen.Although We need defenders.Mick will make the right choices,
what is happening with that ronaldo zubar ?

6.5million is alot of money for a player who has a poor goalscoring record. re. Dave Kitson last year for Stoke. Fernando Morientes is avialable for free, he is also quality in the air, Doyle is not. We need a good target man, period!
im not gonna pretend to be an expert on the guy but i read that he scored more headers than anyone else in the prem when he was there, so how can he be no good in the air?
China Wolf, I think you find the 1st season Doyle had in the Prem he scored more goals with his head than any other player.

I mean cross at least one 0 off possibly two. Brid

118 – could mean he doesn’t like flying

I have also heard this morning that the move is off. He walked away from the training ground very impressed but said he needed to think about it and said he is not sure he fancies a relegation battle if we are drawn into one. Go back to Reading then cause with their cut backs you will be in one in the championship! Would of loved him to have signed but we have to move on, we need players who are up for it.

Laughing,,,, how do you know the move is off? Were you there at the training ground? Who have you heard it off, dont tell me, the check out girl at Asda.

Without wanting to turn this into a laughingwolf witch-hunt, Andy’s post did make me chuckle as it is pretty much spot on!
I know the club receptionist who told me about Milijas (and the car accident) and Hahnemann. At this moment he is thinking about it but Moxey said he now has to convince him his heart is in it.
Andy what is wrong with writing a list of my preferential targets? part and parcel of being excited at being in the premier league. Cheer up little fella.
As others have commented previously there’s nothing wrong with a list (HINT TO LAUGHING – you say a list, i.e. singular – if only!).
By the way, repeating what others have already said and adding your own tilt to it, doesn’t make you an insider.
My uncle’s grandad’s best mate’s half brother’s wife told me that Doyle was impressed with our training ground but felt he his worth more than £13k a week…
Report abuse
Andy there are many people who have put their opinions on targets on these pages on a daily basis, it is after all a wolves posting page! If you do not like it may I suggest you dont come on here?
And for an insider, I just state what I hear and to be fair she hasnt been wrong yet! Now stop being petty and pop along back to the tescos.

Just in Wolve club receptionist just fired,NOT. LOL.

wud be great signing Doyle but we need defenders &a left winger

going of topic here, but well done Stearman, played great for us and even when the ’stuck in traffic incident’ occured he never moaned, got his head down and rounded of a great season with his first goal. Well deserved call up and by all accounts has been doing himself proud with Pearce’s u21’s. Hope he’s bending Mancienne’s ear !!!!!! did we really try to get Dann ??? As for Doyle its in the E & S so it must be true !!!! lol, like the 3 m’s are goimg to tell them anything !!! take a look at the Reading papers, remarkably similar stories, world class journo’s the E & S!!!! lol

Premature Paper Talk – Wolves will struggle to bring in any known Prem Proven Players even the average ones because of:
1) Jez Moxeys known media statements about “not paying over the odds” and his apparent stance on players agents which imv most players agents are well aware of and imv makes Moxey and Wolves the last club they would want to take their business to
Imv Moxey would have been well served to say nothing and just keep his own thoughts to himself – I believe he said these things to put a message out to the fans at the time to make them feel that the club hadnt signed players because they wouldnt be “bullied” – more like they simply wouldnt spend because of Moxeys advice – even spend moderately
2) Doyle’s agent has now successfully advertised his availabillity and made clubs aware of the “trigger” in his contract – the PR exercise of Doyles visit to the Mol guarantees nothing!
3) I hope we are not going to be part of a merry go round circus that ends with these players being offered better terms elsewhere at clubs who are of a similar size but are more prepared to get the players their managers want
4) If we are going to compete – we need far better than Hanneman – as personally I dont feel he is any better than what we have
5) Moxey doesnt have the talent or abillity imv to attract existing better than average Prem Proven Players so would be far better served going for players that are not aware of his anti players agents remarks ie Milijas
6) Milijas “deal” as we know may not even happen due to his criminal record – If the club were not aware of this fact – WHY?
7)We have young talented strikers in Ebanks Blake and Vokes – Would we be better served going for an older established striker than Doyle for £6.5m???
I hope for far better than what we have seen so far – the absence of anything else isnt imv down to the lack of money – Its down to the packaging of the clubs offer – Accountants / Bookeepers dont present “dynamic and exciting” very well hence why I believe that Moxey is way out of his league – He has no problems with lower leagues or abroad and thats where imv the real problem is!
